Getting Started
Beginning therapy is a big step—and I’m here to make the process as smooth as possible. Here’s what to expect when we start working together.
1. Free 20-Minute Phone Consultation
We’ll start with a phone call to see if we’re a good fit for each other. This is your chance to share what’s bringing you in, ask questions, and get a feel for my style before committing to ongoing sessions.
2. Intake Process
If you decide to move forward, we’ll schedule your intake.
If using insurance: You’ll receive an email from Headway (my billing/ insurance credentialing company)to set up your account. You’ll need to provide your insurance card and payment method.
Then, I’ll email you links to my secure client portal for intake paperwork and my HIPAA-compliant texting platform, iPlum, for secure communication.
3. Initial Session
In your first session, we’ll review your intake paperwork, begin getting to know each other, and explore:
What’s bringing you to therapy
Relevant history
Your goals and hopes for the process
How therapy works and what you can expect from me.
4. Ongoing Work
From here, sessions will be tailored entirely to you—your needs, your goals, your challenges, and your strengths.
My style is warm, compassionate, engaged, and direct. I welcome your questions and feedback at any point in our work together.
