Who Am I?
Alexis (Ali) Campbell, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, QS (she/her)
Hi, I’m Ali. I believe therapy is a sacred space. A place where you can lay your burdens down, explore your truth, and be deeply heard without judgment. I approach my work with collaboration, compassion, and curiosity, listening closely not just to your words, but to the emotions, stories, and possibilities underneath them.
Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, I’ve called Asheville home since 2006. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNC-Asheville in 2008, then spent a year in Peru teaching English and learning from a different culture. After completing my Master’s in Social Work at Western Carolina University in 2015, I spent over a decade working in community mental health, specifically in recovery education centers, medication-assisted treatment, and integrated care clinics. Working with folks from all different walks of life has had a profound impact on me as a therapist. In 2021, I pursued a post-graduate certification program in Expressive Arts Therapy. This chapter led me to uncover new ways of helping my clients experience profound healing. In 2023, I began clinically supervising provisionally licensed social workers and mental health counselors — a role that’s deepened my appreciation for guiding new clinicians.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy taking long walks with my partner, writing, painting, dancing, and laughing at the antics of our three quirky cats, Penny, Clementine, and Luna.
