Addiction Recovery & Healing

Addiction—whether to substances or behaviors—often begins as a way to cope with pain, numb overwhelming feelings, or find a sense of control. Over time, the very strategies that once helped you survive can leave you feeling trapped, ashamed, and disconnected from yourself and others. Recovery is not about willpower or “fixing what’s broken”—it’s about finding new, sustainable ways of relating to your thoughts, feelings, and needs.

In our work together, I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore the roots of addictive patterns and to support your growth at a pace that feels right for you. I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help you clarify your values and strengthen your commitment to change in ways that feel authentic rather than forced. With Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we’ll work on building a life that feels meaningful and aligned with what matters most to you, even as cravings or urges arise.

I also integrate mindfulness practices to help you notice urges without automatically acting on them, while learning to meet difficult emotions with compassion instead of avoidance. My approach is grounded in harm reduction, which means honoring your unique goals—whether that’s moderation, safer use, or full abstinence—while prioritizing your safety, dignity, and self-determination.

Recovery is possible. Together, we’ll work on loosening the grip of addictive patterns, cultivating resilience, and reconnecting you with the parts of life that bring real satisfaction, peace, and purpose.
